We’ve received a lot of feedback about Phusion Passenger Enterprise since yesterday’s launch. In particular, we’ve received a lot of questions regarding licensing. Our licensing model is currently per-server, but there are use cases that this model does not fit well into.

We’ve heard your feedback, and we’re discussing them internally. In the near future we hope to come up with an updated licensing model that will allow us to better accomodate the following:

• Development and staging environments
• Volume discounts
• Cloud setups where the server count varies often
• Educational and non-profit organizations

One user also reported a problem with not being able to check “I agree” on the licensing page. This problem has been solved!
